4WD, 2 electric motor, RC: might seem strange.
4WD, 2 electric motor, RC: might seem strange.
Ok this may not be just for the RC10 but this is the only location on the site that maybe can answer this. Back in the day I had a RC that was no where the caliber of the RC10 and was closer to a monster truck than a buggy however it had two electric motors. As far as I can tell, I have no idea because I never took it apart, each motor ran two sets of tires. I've never seen that before or after but I often wondered if it would be possible for a buggy or a stadium truck? Why do this, well I can think of a few reasons. It would provide better power band for the front and back without putting as much strain on one motor nor needing a belt/shaft going front to back. I would be different and cool to see it done along with allowing some tweeking of gearing. Problems: getting both motors to work together, weight issues, room for everything, and lastly powering two motors. What's your thoughts on this idea? Thank you.

The most common was a Nikko Dictator. It used two 380 motors. It went through several versions and was also sold under the Radio Shack name as well
This is one of mine with a few upgrades shown next to a later version of the car sold as a Super Dictator

This was the original and most likely what you would have had

Thanks for that however it couldn't be, mine had a Jeep body. Great RC but one day it went haywire and I couldn't get it to work again. It sucked because I really liked that one.

I missed the part about being a monster truck. There were some based on the dictator platform as well but I think they were all radio shack versions. The part where he said he never took it apart made me think it was not a kit

I would guess that what you had was a Nikko Thor. It had two motors and was very popular. I think radio shack had a rebranded version of their own also
