Re: Turbo Optima Mid 88`s
Are you sure your rear wing was big enough?!
Great post - always nice to see somebody wanting to rebuild their old car. Do you happen to recall what make the saddle pack conversion was in that? It looks like a SWB car but has had some sort of aftermarket glassfibre(?) saddle pack conversion added. The rest looks relatively standard Turbo Mid. If you were running the SRM/RW Racing Tufnol spur gears you might also have been running with their Tufnol intermediate gear too? We certainly did, as an upgrade over the plastic original.
Demon motors were very popular in the UK in the late 80's - there are quite a few about and they do pop up for sale from time to time. Lots of people want them though, so nice examples with the red prism stickers intact and in good unmarked condition do tend to fetch strong money.

Hello,
yes for the strong Demon Motors you need this big wings. And the SWB Versions need downforce.
Was this a Parme Wing?
The saddle pack Version was a DIY version with GfK.

Guys, there seems to be more and more people asking for parts in their build threads than by going through the proper channels. Please review the forum rules to know how to get access to the Buy/Sell/Trade section of the forum, including the Wanted Forum section.
