I had some time to kill so i model'd up a copy of the front bumper mount from the slightly rough one i got recently .
I don't have a picture but after removing the support material witch came off in one piece i tried sitting the genuine part onto the support and it fit perfectly
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
I recently had time to refit the 2speed gears and after using the instructions kindly supplied on the last page I now have it working as it should and wow does it work ! Hard to believe it was a brushed motor on 7.2v NiMH ! It was however getting the Trinity Monster Horsepower motor quite warm so I've fitted a 13.5 BL sensored motor that with the wick turned down a bit delivers the same sort of power with 2s lipo , I really only want longer runs no more speed !
This really is a great car I'm surprised its not more historically notable !

No brakes at all , just not possible with the 2 speed , i guess that's why nobody raced with it even before it was banned but its great fun .

Hpi added a one way to the clutch portion which allowed brakes, but also caused it to shred every tooth off the spur if you ever tried to roll the car backwards. I bought a nova two speed a while back that advertises forward and reverse operation but haven’t investigated how they do it.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
My barn-find PB Mini Mustang 4WD needs drive shafts.
I bought some driveshafts off eBay; 65mm with 3mm pins and got halfway through grinding the pins down to fit
the 'stang's coupling but there has to be a better way. I was running out of...

You're welcome for the link, Chris. Keep in mind I had that link to that specific part because it looked like the PB Mustang's dogbones were very close to the Shogun's. There are a lot of different dogbones available on AliExpress.com, but it takes...
Back in the late 80's I was invited to join a team from one of my local clubs to race in a Jimmy Davis-sponsored 24hour charity race at the (UK-famous) Donisthorpe track. The club was Perry Common Buggy Club and at that time, in around 1986-7 the...

I hadn't seen your other thread until now but I saw the car on ebay with the gold Brimods. I did think about bidding on it but am not really looking to add any cars to the collection as it's at 17 now & any more will cause me storage issues....
Here is my restored Mini Mustang. It's not perfect, but as close as I'll get due to the rarity of the parts. I always wanted to get hold of another PB as the PB Eco Mustang was my first serious RC car. Back in the day it was fitted with Supershot...

I love the body colours, and Super Shot gold wheels..
Thank you Stumpy
I bought a well used Mini Mustang january this Year. The guy I bought it from has had it from new, and been club racing it for 4 seasons at a local Danish club.
It was in a bit of a rough shape when I got. The chassis was divided at the rear and...

I actually had BIG plans for that chassis but somehow forgot to bid
I must admit I felt inspired when I came across this site with all the history of RC Cars on display for all to see. I too grew up with RC Cars in the 80's and although in my mid 30's now I have just recently returned to the hobby...

Jason and i were in a hurry to get up and running once i arrived at his house after my rush trip down to Sydney.
I was so shot after driving for 16 hrs so i went for a quick snooze and...
hi
Ive just received my pb mini mustang complete with original futuba transmitter, reiever and servo.
It has also been fitted with a parma yokomo motor which appears to be period correct.
I gave it a quick run using a 3000mah 7.2v battery pack and...

I'd try the new pinion first and see where you are , mind you the Parma Yokomo is a nice vintage motor and a new Tamiya sport tuned is kind of expendable so not a bad idea .
