Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
A Tamiya Torque Tuned motor for my Sand Viper since it donated its original 540 to my Grasshopper.
And not today specifically, but:
A cheapo Surpass Hobby 12T 550 I got for all of $11 off Amazon for my Axial EXO Terra I'll finish someday... maybe.
A Dynamite Twin Tazer brushless motor/esc I bought a few weeks ago out of sheer curiosity. It'll probably end up in my Bandit... or maybe my 144001.

I’ve been wanting to try one of those aio motor/esc combos paired with a spectrum servo/rx aio just to make a Uber clean concours setup.

Speaking of local hobby shops in one of the welcome threads, kinda went on a shopping spree at one of mine yesterday. Knocked a good amount off the grocery list.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Does that say that you paid $4 for that shock rebuild kit?
I paid $18 for the last one I bought (needed internal clips), and thought it was reasonable (comparatively speaking).

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Indeed it does. But I actually paid less than that because old boy gave me a certain % off the whole shebang due to buying so much at once, and I'm a frequent familiar face. It's a very small bicycle/hobby shop, dude is planning on closing down shop soon due to retirement, so he's selling the joint. He has a boatload of AE, Losi and Traxxas parts.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 5:44 pm Does that say that you paid $4 for that shock rebuild kit?

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Those are some excellent finds at your LHS. My LHS is pretty picked over, but I still find an occasional gem like 3/16 axles. Better than 50% of the AE parts they have left are RC18 stuff though. Last week all the AE stuff got moved to the 'aisle of closeouts' where the remaining Losi stuff has been for a while. This included 3 modern kits that have been waiting 3+ years for someone to purchase. No price reductions though.

This happened two weeks ago but I’ve been slacking. Looks like it was broke early on and they never found a replacement hub carrier. Custom works to the rescue. Just need a kingpin and she is golden.
This was purchased from my old local hobby shop which makes it even cooler.

I got one ! I got one ! This was the last on my list ! The Mugen Bulldog
Never really thought I'd find one under £400 but this one came up buy it now for £200 and I must have seen it first , my first thought was that the seller had cocked up and meant to start an auction at £200 , I fully expected a message explaining it was a mistake but no ! I'm as you can tell a very happy camper !

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Today I received a part for my Outlaw Ultima project that was graciously donated by Factory Works (a.k.a. GoMachV).
Thank you Jeff for answering my many dumb questions and for your commitment to the vintage RC hobby.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I wasn’t expecting this until sometime next week. Roughly 48 hours from order confirmation to my doorstep – Texas to Alabama. Incredible!
I’m curious if this relatively modern Rx will work with my old Futaba Magnum Jr. Tx.
Also, those printed parts for the Mid runner have arrived this morning. Excellent service!
I’m gonna be busy this weekend.

As long as it is 75mhz, from the upper range of channel numbers. If it was turned for the lower range channels, it might be glitchy.
