Tamiya M04 build week recently.... gave this the once-over, ready for a new home:
Alex
and built these up from a big lot of parts I got a little while ago:
Sadly, I don't have any spare 225mm Mini bodies other than a couple of Protoform SoCal panel wagons.... so they will have to do. They are designed to take touring size wheels, which kind of spoils the Mini theme.... but oh well.
Next up, painting, radio gear, testing, and then can move on to M03s or M05s.... Alex
Osiris is the key.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I experimented with touring car wheels and tires on the front of my KF2. I have limiters in the shocks already, and front shocks on the rear, but wanted to get it lower still. When my new kit arrived, a Schumacher Mission FT, an idea occurred to me. I was afraid the tiny wheels wouldn't be able to steer the car with the much larger rears pushing it, but they actually worked out very well.

Wow guys!...Life has taken me in a different direction. I can't believe it's been over 6 years since I've posted anything on this site...I have lots of catching up to do. Racing died out for me several years ago, and since my last post, I rebuilt the tractor (yet again), Decided to go modern with a Traxxas Slash, and scratch built a sprint car with spare parts and a roll cage.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Had a little time today, away from the oval car, to move forward with the Viper and get the tires trued. Love the car and love the wheels ............... but finding the appropriate body that will fit right is becoming a chore! It'll be fine though.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I installed a new, rear 7-hole bulkhead and a nice used Litespeed Litesink motor plate on my custom black & green Losi JrxPro build.. it really completes the look I have been going for! This also has a Thorp filled gearbox and Losi Slipper.

If there was ever an RC vehicle that needed a scale Daisy Duke figure sitting on it, that tractor is it! So cool! Does the steering wheel move with the steering?Russ Winn wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 10:20 am Wow guys!...Life has taken me in a different direction. Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I'll have to take some video shots of it. This is the 3rd time I've rebuilt it...I'll post it on the original thread.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 7:33 pm That tractor is sweet! I want to see a video of it driving!
That would be perfect! The steering wheel doesn't move, But the doll would finish it off.
BattleTrak - Love the build! I haven't seen a JRX up close in 35 years! Well done!

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got the Viper close to finished up. Found a body that I think will be perfect for it, but had to order it from across the pond, so it will be on hold until then. Got a sprint car ready to take its place on the mat.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
A little more work on the oval car today. The rear trans adaptor / bulkhead / rear bumper mount is just about 95% there. There are two little spots that need to be shaved about 1mm for it all to click together. Then need to figure out rear body mount mounts, and lipo battery mount. As with all old chassis I work with (at least those in good condition), my goal is to make no new holes.
