Thinking on the nose here ( and sensibly ) but the chassis is pretty basic in design , I know that's half the challenge but if you had a chassis designed better to handle <100 mph in the first place ...... Thing is that only very modern RC cars have ever been designed with that in mind .
That would defeat the purpose unfortunately.
Yea I get it and totally approve
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
There's all kinds of things going on with that run! It zigs, it zags, there's extra flame puffs at the end! I was sure a 'concrete magnet' had been installed and that it was going to go head on into the base of that pole at full speed!

That was the final dual engine run for now...making changes...extending the wheelbase an inch (12" to 13")...going "F" single engine (which worked great the two times I ran them)...going with a new body, narrowing the front end to tuck it under the body...and lastly, moving the engine mount forward and inch to help push more from the front than the rear...if it all works...should run 88mph in 3.5 seconds....100mph is out of the question for now...thanks to everyone that is following this build
Hoping to get some time tommorrow to rebuild/redesign the car and fit the new body...should be ready to test by teus morning I hope....here is a little refresher on last run

Turnbuckles on those side slats would make them trim tabs in the event that the car consistently pulls to one side or other.

Finally got to see a live run. The video doesn't do justice to how cool it is. First, it's damn loud! Lots of smoke and takes off like a bullet. Very smooth, and like most good things in my life a lot of fun in under 4 seconds.

Now that the Max Q is down to its last couple runs later this month then being retired to the shelf and freshened up for the 24' BOTM....I am starting a new venture...The Guiness Land Speed Record for R/C Rocket Cars...currently held by the Black...
So I grabbed this parma panther funny car to go with my panther sprint and stock car, but the previous owner made it a rocket car. I am left with some ugly holes in an impossibly difficult to find body.
I am thinking about cutting out the rear...

Looks like a cool build. I have started and disassembled/abandoned 2 of these truck conversions in the last year. I'm currently on my 3rd one and we'll see how it goes. I really like your choice of tires. The big knobbies look very correct on these...
Found this speed controller & earmarked it for RC12L I recently bought. I don't know much about this brand other than it's a German company and do have a vague memory of these speed controllers back in the 80's. Anyone know of the timeline for...

Hi,

have trade a old Rocket 6R controller from Christian Sterr Munich.
In about 1885 we use this controller in our Buggys here in area Munich. We had races around Zimmermann store with Theo Bickhard and Mr. Blümel for race lap controll. The...
I built this one when I was a kid. I got the 935 body. Never did run it much. What a cool little car! I am amazed I kept it this long!

Very slick! I had one when the buds cars first came out, bought out a friend that had a ton of parts, tires etc. way better handling and just as fast as the buds cars. Very impressive and fun car! Sadly I sold it a long while back. I see they are...
