Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.

Yes, I thought a carbon fiber motor plate would be cool. I'd seen them on a modern RC10 gearbox (I think a B6).

This isn't the body I have planned for this buggy but if makes a good placeholder for the shell. rwordenjr did an excellent job painting and trimming it!

Some bodywork added to the evil twin. A little experimentation with Cricut patterns too.

Re: Converting RC10 Graphite to RC10 Graphite Replica
My friend has been having some issues with bad batches of liquid mask, but he has just finished up the first of a few shell he's painting for me. To go with it, I think I might need to amp up the sinister level a bit for one of these buggies with my new skeleton coffin chassis and 48 pitch Thorp 6 gear.

If you can find one, a JConcepts motor plate would look at home there.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

That is a nice motor plate.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 5:06 pm If you can find one, a JConcepts motor plate would look at home there.
I would use my carbon fiber motor plate, but its a little too thick to use with a 6 gear setup. I use shorter spacers for it with a stealth gearbox.

Re: Converting RC10 Graphite to RC10 Graphite Replica
I think this one is done (maybe ). Finished it off with some minimal bodywork, Novak Cyclone ESC and XXTRA receiver.

Re: Converting RC10 Graphite to RC10 Graphite Replica
I'd completely missed this .. top job.. did AE actually make a double deck car in the white plastics day. Or is this you could have bought from a 3rd party?
Fab job fair play
Cheers

Re: Converting RC10 Graphite to RC10 Graphite Replica
Composite Craft made some double deck chassis sets, possibly some more exclusive stuff from other 3rd parties too. Nothing from AE that I'm aware of, other than special kits for the factory race teams.
I thought the driver / dust cover shell made kind of a Mad Max desert racer vibe. Or sort an off road Formula 1 racer.

Re: Converting RC10 Graphite to RC10 Graphite Replica
I decided which one gets the skeleton chassis and 48p Thorp 6 gear setup.
