Losi JRX2 revisited
Hi everyone, I havn't raced RC since the early 90's. This losi was my last buggy before I stopped racing (all the local clubs seem to die at that time) I don't even think I got to race it.
It was bought for me by my brother (who got it secondhand in the early 90's. It was last run about 8-10 years ago. We always just called it the Losi but I learnt today it's a JRX2 (atleast thats whats stamped on the bulkhead)
From what I have learnt today reading this forum ^_^ It has the following hop-ups
Losi rigid red steering
JRX2 Pro rear shock tower?
JRXT front shock tower?
JRXT front shocks?
Super Slider universals?
Andy's front Arms
Mirage rear wing?
It's running a novak 410-M5 ESC and a stock 27T motor. I will see if it still runs next week when the new charger arrives.
I have also found some parts for it so it will pull it apart give it a reclean and replace the parts I can.
Just needs 1 new steel tube that the wing plugs into, and could use 2 rear link/body mounts as the tops are missing where the body clips through.
I have a dust cover and front shock tower coming to replace those.
Would love to learn more about this buggie.
This is it's pretty side..
And I forgot to take a photo of the inside so heres one with the laptop internal camera.
Thanks for looking.

Nice car, it also appears to have aftermarket ?yokomo? rear wheels
The wing tubes are aluminum, you can use some tubing of the correct diameter from the hobby shop to make your own pretty easily.

Thanks
Yes the inside pic is reversed... didnt notice till after I posted it, silly webcam.
The rear wheels are a slightly different colour than the front, so I would guess that are made from different plastics. I didn't notice till you pointed it out.

i'm no losi expert, but it seem to me that the car has been upgraded with the jrx2 proformance kit.

Re: Losi JRX2 revisited
Very interesting stuff, the paint is flaking off the body in places, I'm wonder wether I should repaint it or not...

Re: Losi JRX2 revisited
Welcome aboard!
Nice JRX2 you have there.
Hang on to that body and just touch the paint up,if you can...I don't know if I'll EVER find a body for my JRX2 resto
The one I have is pretty trashed.
If you ever want rid of that body P/M me

Re: Losi JRX2 revisited
From what I can see, the only difference between the Proformance and the jrx pro bady would be the cut line for the rear shocks. I cut mine according to the cut line, but I later modified the body when I began mounting my shocks behind the rear tower (pre-jrx pro).
Either way, the jrx pro body is very difficult to come by, so I sugest taking care of that one.
I'd be interested to see the rear wheel adapers that you have on your car. I don't recall a losi to yokomo adapter, but I guess it wouldn't be too difficult to modify a standard yokomo hub.
Regards,
highwayracer

Few more things I noticed, the front tires are Team Losi though there alittle worn, the rears are Trinity.
Sure thing Highwayracer heres a pic
And a couple more I took
The only hole in the chassis, scratching my head over the logic here.
The 5-link.. I'll clean it soon I swear!

Re: Losi JRX2 revisited
Well that should be easy enough to flip around, which part of the shock is wrong, that it's mounted to the front?
edit: ok fixed thanks for finding that. the link on the otherside was the right way around atleast ^_^
