I am going to paint the new body for it if I dont like the chrome I may just clean off the chrome?

Are you asking if you can strip the chrome? If so, I don't think so. I believe they are white assuming you could get deep enough to get past the chrome without ruining the wheels. Krylon and Rust-oleum make spray paint for plastic, but it chips of course.

I think acetone would take care of the chrome (leave it soak in a airtight container ; no need to submerge them)
Presuming the wheels are nylon they will not be harmed and you can rit-dye them afterwards.

Colour scheme looks good and the black wheels are fitting it well.
No way you can strip the pactra paint (not sure I understood correctly that's your plan)
What was the problem with the can? spluttering?
I have had this happen with some spray cans from pactra. The paint is real good and crash resistant but the nozzles on the cans sometimes s*ck

I am not sure what you guys are talking about? to strip chrome just put them in some castrol super clean or purple power? I am not stripping my wheels I just said I like your black and I might order a set? sorry for all of the confusion

I think there was some confusion because the quotes got corrupted. I was just commenting that my yellow can was messed up and bearrickster was talking about stripping the chrome from the wheels. Yes, my yellow was sputtering and foaming. I think it was possessed! I was able to get it smooth, just took a couple of extra coats. rick, I didn't know that chrome could be stripped like that. I have an extra pair that I may try that with. Confusion seems to follow me wherever I go. I don't think it's coincidence...

yes any plastic with chrome soak in purple power now it was castrol super clean it will take the chrome or paint off most anything! skin off your fingers also i finished putting the new wheels on mine last night I will post up some pictures later today

well here is the truck I got from Red Scampi with new shoes and I have a new body but havent got that far. I also have a 10.5 brushless for it but it has a motor in it I am going to run it first and see how it does?

Real nice! I wanted to make my bars silver, but I need to keep it simple or I'd screw it up. I'm not a world class painter by any means. I like the tall wing too and almost went that route, but changed my mind. A 10.5 is a great choice for this truck I think. I'm gonna start with a brushed stock and see how it goes. I got a bunch of mods in this lot that I've been cleaning up slowly too. I'd like to go with maybe a 17turn or something after I try it with a stock. Lookin' good.

This truck is pretty trick already it has pretty purple aluminum hubs and turnbuckles. blue threaded shocks, heat sink motor plate. it came with a whole set of swaybars.

I have another truck I will be putting back together this summer

Thanks,I found a factory Dodge Truck body for it that I am ordering up . I will leave the wheels chrome for sure, they make them in black and black chrome and gray I think?

It rained all day here . I took the opportunity to finally put electrics in this thing. I had no intention of going brushless with it, but it's built so well I just had to. The county re-paving the road has really gotten me back into running my cars. The Pumpkin has been out about every other day. It just doesn't get much funner than a Pumpkin. Anyway, here's the road and the truck. Bench testing today proved it will be an absolute beast. Clear tomorrow though so fireworks and road testing are on!

Well I traded this one away for a Mamba Max, which I traded for a DS and now it's back in my hands. Just got my mitts on this today for some miscellaneous parts. It will be an absolute runner as my other is serving time on the shelf with no hope for parole... These trucks are smoother than a Hooker's ass at half the price. Not sure what I'll do with it yet, but it will be a lot of fun figuring it out.

Can anyone tell me the part number for the rear belt?I gave my mate one of these trucks and the rear belt snapped.We ordered one off epay with 54 teeth but it is too short and he has thrown out the old belt.
