Re: What POSSIBLE reason........
I made up 6 stand offs and finished the top deck. I'm not sure how I feel about the front and the cross brace above the servo, i may change it up. But the hard part is done.

Re: What POSSIBLE reason........
Are you going to implement a criss-cross of some sort for additional strength, and providing a mounting sport for the electronics?
It's looking pretty good so far.

Re: What POSSIBLE reason........
Just an idea: why don't you drop the servo cover section using some stand-offs. It could then double as mounting spot for the battery hold-down
It looks like you could bring in the outsides closer to battery too. That would save you some material and keeping it more centered abpve the CG.
It would also give a little more side to side flex and twist while maintaining the stiffnes front to back.

Re: What POSSIBLE reason........
the perimeter is staying the same because i'm not making another one.
it's actually the same width as the top deck for the composite craft worlds chassis. the only way i'm going to go through the hassle of making a new one will be if the body hits it. gotta get a body to find out though.
the front may get changed just to be more pleasing to the eye. it just looks kinda weird to me.

Enough popsicles for a while he? I can understand that
Certainly if you have drilled and countersunk the 6 holes for the standoffs allready.

Re: What POSSIBLE reason........
there's always room for popsicles.
the back 4 holes were already there. i had to drill the front ones, then countersink all 6.

Re: What POSSIBLE reason........
Perhaps round the edges of square cutout at the front, adding a bit more material on the inside - could make it withstand a head on collision without snapping the topdeck?
Can´t see if the topdeck is attached to the servo mounts? - if so, then it should be strong enough.

Re: What POSSIBLE reason........
I added some gussets to the front half. It looks more "finished" now. I think I'll leave it like that.
