I have about 4 projects that are 'low' buck and all unique, but alot of the parts have been gathered over time, so I couldn't tell ya the cost of the stuff. parts were compiled with the end goal in mind, so would something like that qualify?

i try and do everything as cheeeep as possible anyway, but we'd need to figure out some kind of rules. for instance, what qualifies as low buck?

if you got something NIP but really cheap, does that count?

I'm thinking an oval supermodified, but with no buggy suspension parts.

I nearly got enough left over parts to make a old but new rc10 with Klein arms and b4 stuff, but not all of it will be associated part though

No reason you can't machine your own arms of the exact same design out of the exact same material....

  I agree, but I don't have that material.

I already have the arms left over from another build that I ended up getting vintage alloy wheels for and therefore the rear track was too wide. This also means I couldn't use the front B44 CVDs or the rear carriers I was using. The carriers didn't allow for the proper wheel clearance. I don't want to see these parts just lying around, so this scrap build will be a good suit for the parts. I also, in my opinion, cut down the chassis too far for the previous build I just mentioned. I cut down another on a few months ago, but not as far, so I will use that left over chassis too.

I have an entry that I built over the last few months - I had been calling it a "parts-bin" B3. Really it's mostly a stock RC10B3, so I won't win any awards, but, it is certainly a low-buck build... a bunch of old beat-up parts I didn't want to throw away.

Well I haven't received my RC10 yet so I can use that as my "low buck" build. I had planned on just cleaning it up and making it look like my cheap dirt oval car from years past. But I also have a Cobra Nemesis that I slapped together as a roller for my 20 month old. I'm sure with all the spare old dirt oval stuff laying around, I can frankenstien something.

alright guys, if you want to have this contest, i'll get a thread started for it.

i think i still have a couple of the rc10talk hats that i had made up a year or so ago. i'll offer one up as the grand prize. and if anyone else would like to add something to the prize, they can feel free to do so.

i'm not exactly sure where to put the thread. i want to have this contest opened up to all makes, not just associated. i guess the off-topic forum would work.........
