Re: Wider suspension arms
That's good to know, I figured they were printed in color. These parts take dye VERY easily so no reason to offer any other colors really

Re: Wider suspension arms
Cool, please let us know when they are ready to buy, if you are amenable to selling them. Thanks for working on these

Re: Wider suspension arms
BTW, all though it may be blasphemy, Traxass TRX3/TCP arms are perfect if you would like to widen the front end to legal limits and use modern offset rims. I can post pin widths to see how close to your they are to yours if you would like. -J

Re: Wider suspension arms
Is that with a buggy front kick-up or a trucks? I've tried Bullet/Sledgehammer front arms on a buggy kick up, and they're about 1/8" shorter than scr8p's custom arms (http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=34479&start=15). I thought the TRX3/TCP arms were longer and too wide on a buggy kick-up though?Jay Dub wrote:BTW, all though it may be blasphemy, Traxass TRX3/TCP arms are perfect if you would like to widen the front end to legal limits and use modern offset rims. Re: Wider suspension arms
I think I have a set of those arms in a box of parts somewhere. I never even thought to try them. I'm really going for a stock appearance though.

Re: Wider suspension arms
I ordered the second prototypes. When I get them in, and if they work the way I want them to, I'll make them public on Shapeways. I still need to get the rear arms done. I'm working on several different car designs in CAD right now.

Re: Wider suspension arms
Sorry for the late reply. TRX3 arm are 62.5mm center to center on the hinge pins. Fit for castor blocks and bulkheads look really good. Even the spacing for the shocks look good. I have not mounted them, as I would have to take them off of my TRX3 to verify

Re: Wider suspension arms
My revised front arms finally arrived last night. I'll try them tonight after work. I think they are going to be perfect width wise. I still haven't worked on the rear arms. I just placed a Shapeways order last night for some other things and they are currently running about 3 weeks out, which is what my last 2 orders have been.
Incidentally mine work out to 60.3mm (2.375") hinge pin to hinge pin center and with the stock caster blocks and steering spindles, puts the front width right out to ROAR max.

Re: Wider suspension arms
The revised arms pull the front width out to exactly 9-7/8" which is the absolute roar max. The first version brought the front end out to 9-5/8". I'm thinking about splitting the difference for a 9-3/4" width. Since I can do any of them, what would others prefer? I could offer all three as well.

Re: Wider suspension arms
I'd prefer to be at the the legal max, or maybe like 1mm narrow to be safe.
Ditto what Joey said, about the rears too.

Re: Wider suspension arms
I'm going to go with the mid length which will put the width at 9-3/4". Just under the limit. This will match the width of my Durango DEX210 which should be the same with everything else today. I still haven't gotten to the rear. I'll get there.
