Daryl, I'd love to pick you brain...the 2nd chassis (I just started cleaning it) has metric arms, what CVDs? Ultima?

Did the trailing arm rear end like softer or stiffer springs/shock pack then traditional cars?

With the advent of small, lightweight lipos, how do you think the cars will react with a much lighter running weight?

We can save the smooth clay high bite supercross sized jump track conditions for a different discussion.

Also, what body is on this car? I can only assume one of yours, but I am not very familiar with it.

Another dumb question, was there any difference in the blue trans over the pink trans? I see this car has a wrap around alloy motor plate, versus the common graphite plate I have. Home grown or ?

Got all my parts cleaned up, got a body painted. Still need to get the little pieces left I need for the shocks & universals. Then its build time.

Turned some wrenches, trimmed and drilled a bunch of nylon/delrin pieces and did quite a bit of test fitting....

Man, my angles are looking really weird from the phone pictures  car isnt out of whack like it appears in those pics. Other problem, this thing weighs next to nothing...perfect for a 17.5 stock car, if I can figure out suspension settings that will work with how light it is. Guess I can always just use a full size lipo pack instead of a shorty.

A sheet of lead under the shorty.
Looks like LRP has seen my projects with the low-profile shorty from yokomo. They've added some to their rage and market them as LCG's (low center of gravity).
Copy-cats

So, extra thick sheet of lead or lead aorund an LCG shorty for an ultra low CG!

The curve on the ass end of that body matches the trailing arm curves pretty good from that angle... liken the curvature on that car 8)

Its officially a roller....took off the Kyosho shocks and put on some Academy (with purple bits on them).

Image

The front end is a great hodge podge of parts that all seem to mesh well :)

Image

RPM RC10 one piece bulkhead - cut into 2 and narrowed severely
RPM B2 carpet front arms
B3 carriers
Early CE knuckles
Custom cut front tower (S&K/Andy's pro tower, but stretched for modern sized shocks)

Wow, Joey, this looks fantastic. The academy shocks match well, plus, I think they are underrated.
