Saw these. Difficult to see the state as the threads are not really visible. Would love to find a set in proper state to be able to model them and maybe apply the same approach I'm currently taking for other tires to work out moulds... Clearly, it won't be those...

Saw these. Difficult to see the state as the threads are not really visible. Would love to find a set in proper state to be able to model them and maybe apply the same approach I'm currently taking for other tires to work out moulds... Clearly, it won't be those...

They look a bit worn and gluey, rims scratched. I'll post some pics of mine, maybe they'll help. I guess treads can be reconstructed in CAD

I found mardave Apache tyres could be fit with some rubber strip to fill gaps between the profile of the tyre and the wheel.

The thing is that for being able to model a tire, I need proper measurement : I need to understand the way the profile looks, the thickness of the profile, the spikes positions and measurement, the number of spikes per row, etc... Ultimately, once you have all of this, it's fairly easy to get the model done... But at some point I'll have to find some tires to make this...

I have one friend who have depleted tires I may be able to work something out but the spikes are out... Pictures and measures of the spikes may help awaiting i got better tires (if you can get pics of the spikes with measurements and width of the rectangles and positions on the profile, that would certainly help)...

Tyre dia. 80mm width 32mm . 20 rows of studs in pairs and threes alternating. Studs 4.5x6mm with 1x3dimple. Dimple abt 1mm deep. Stud height 3mm. Triple row 25.5mm. double row 19.5mm. wheel dia 40mm

I record this pics in my Hirobo folder and as soon I have some time to deal with this, i'll get some model done

I picked up one of these last year, but haven't done anything with it. It was too cool to pass up, especially with the Associated shocks, CRP chassis plate and stadium truck bodyshell. Wheels and tyres look good too, plus it also has a new pair of rims and some new in packet red ball joints as well. I can't see me doing much with it though if i'm honest.

Well if it's on the market I'm sure there'll be takers. I might be tempted and silvertriple too? I can think of other competition.
Good tyres etc but obviously a few bodges to get a shell on it etc. You may have seen my 44b which I've had to put a "wrong" shell on. Rockn' city rhyming slang....

I got a grp chassis plate which I intend to fit sometime.
I got new tyres from Australia a while ago. And a few spares in an eBay lot
Truck body is interesting I've been wondering how one would look

Hi Martin,
I would be very interested as I intend to model the 44B chassis (and in their differnet variants)... But i'm short in cash right now due to some recent ventures (including one not even disclosed yet in Marui area as the cars are not yet there)...

Rough measurement I make it 3mm thick under tread and 2mm walls also the 40mm inner dia of the tyre is a bit loose on the 40mm rim, I used some thin plastic to make it snug. There's a 2mm ridge on the inner dia to fit behind the rim of the wheel.
