Re: How do you display your rc?
Wow, just when I think I should probably stop I see pics like this and I think I don't have a problem. I actually purged a bunch recently so I am low. Several on way from Ebay right now. I usually just stick an old tire under the chassis and sit on shelf. Maybe I'll be the only one though with a train running around above them Live in a loft so my ceilings are 15ft. Shelf with train is about 9 feet in air.

Re: How do you display your rc?
I certainly don't have the massive amazing collections some of you guys have; fortunately (???) I only have a few cars, and showing them off to their best is what I look for in a display. I need them to be behind glass, and limit the dust that will get on them as much as possible. They also have to be well-lit, and the cars need to have the tires in the air to avoid damage and flat spots.
I got the idea to place mirror sections under the cars from full-size car shows...some show car enthusiasts have mirrors under their cars to show off the undersides of the chassis. If you put all that work into what's beneath the sheets, might as well showcase it. Ikea had 4-packs of the mirror squares for $10 a pack. I used dollar-store rectangular clear acrylic containers with felt tape on the tops to be the chassis stands.
The cabinets are nice units that I was able to convince my wife to share double-duty as displays for some cars and the fine kitchen stuff. At least the blonde wood unit is in the basement and I have the whole unit for my display needs. Eventually my OptiWTF (half-built) and the "Red Tide" Lucas Agitator will fill up that display when they're finished...and that'll probably be pretty much it. (Famous last words?)

That does look sharp with the mirrors, very classy! You need more cars it looks so good I've gone in cycles, I've proabbly had up to 25 shelfers, down to a handful. Sticking with early Losi (JRX) at this point for the mint shelfers.

I like that. I looks to have a secure hold on the car. Now you just need another one beside it and paint the wall to look like a track.

I like that a lot. I did something similar years ago with a few of them. I did the wire very discreet. I backed out 2 of the rear screws that held gearbox to chassis and if can imagine then ran music wire spiral around each screw a few times and then tightened screws down just enough to pinch. Then looped ends around discreet anchor and screw in wall behind car. Car really looked like it was glued to wall. I'll try to find a pic.
