No problem , just want to see it all working when I stalled , I usually have a car here to test it all out on but shipping would be a pain in this case .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

i'm quite curious to see how the sprocket is actually working in real, and how long it last... I'm saying this as I've been quite disappointed with my Nylon idle gears...

Any thought about printing the sprocket part in SLM and design part around to be printed in Nylon?
I buy kits to build and ru(i)n them :-)

I've had way more luck with sprockets than gears , maybe because the chain engages on a far greater circumference that the few teeth of a gear , they will of course wear but from what I've seen with the dogfighter sprockets (and they are smaller ) they last well enough , I'll be sending the print files to Derek so he can source replacements more locally and some files better optimised for SLS or MJF printing at a pro shop.
The one aspect of the design I'm more concerned about is the way the smaller sprockets engage with the spur gear , each has 3 x 3mm pins that go in holes on the spur , I'm going to include a file for a design that can have 3 x M3 set screws screwed into the flange on the sprocket but its just not printable other than at a pro shop with SLS or MJF .

As you may have seen I've now got a Mardave Meteor so as well as getting the old girl a new pair of sneakers and a new hat I've also started CAD modelling and printing bits , mostly just the gearbox and some gears , I was not initially going to do the gears as Mardave still stock two of the three gears but after trying one of their new gears incorporating bearings I was not overly impressed when it broke after only a few runs with a brushed motor and 7.2v nimh battery's.

So I decided to go ahead and model and print them as well as the gearbox .

I've run it a little and they fit really well but they are only PLA so as soon as they get warm they will soften and fail , in the fullness of time ill pop the gears in my Shapeways shop , the gearbox is a free download on Thingiverse already.

This is one of those really simple ideas , its just mesh for body windows , printed in a 100mm square .

great idea... And can be customised easily, with any kind of form... And printed in TPU could be quite realistic...

more than multicolor print, for me it is the multi material which is interesting...

Indeed , the PA interface material was out of stock :( I'll try some PLA interface at some point but the budget is spent now this month .

For PLA you may just use PETG... I remember having read somewhere that PC could work as interface material for PA, but I have not tried myself...
