OK, so all I need are the Swing Shafts & the LED's and after that the build will commence.
I still can't decide on the metal motor cage. I like it,,... But it will be attached to the carbon fiber shock mount and I don't know if that's a good idea. I was thinkin maybe some plastic washers would be in order to mount the cage.
I went with 13.5 on the Le Mans brushless motor.

Has anyone got pics of their Scorpion with the HG shocks and carbon fiber parts yet?
I've ordered the shocks and towers but they will be a few weeks away till I see them. I'm also waiting for a new roll cage as I also had 2 left hand cage parts delivered in my kit.
Now I'm wondering if I should order the fiberglass parts to ditch the tub?? Anyone have a pic with the stock body and radio tray mod too?
Doe's it still look good without the tub?
Well, this is the kit that I make- not sure which one your looking at...but it would be the same concept and look

Very cool parts!
Mmmm, I'm thinking I would get a tomahawk shell if I went down that path to cover the sides up. So many options, now I want another scorpion to keep stock and one to mod.
Here is the TBG (MRP) Harris body. I haven't decided how to paint it yet. It requires a little shorter front body post, and the rear bars protrude thru the body. Gives it a different look for sure

Some more pics of the HG shocks fitted to a hopped up scorpion from time tunnel, Some CF parts as well as the machined front shaft locks. Wondered how they would look. The HG shocks have plastic tops, thought it would have all anodized body for that asking price.
It has been a fun build revisiting the 80's. Except for the alloy around the motor from pargustore.com and matching paint on the roll cage, the car is OEM. The motor is a 25t Tamiya Torque Tuned which will be powered with NiMh.
A while back I went mad buying up whatever Scorpion stuff I could get my hands on. Today Im beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel with the first of a couple of cars Ive been working on. This Scorpion has the locked rear diff and Ive...

The scorpion was my first rc. I picked this one up a while back for a pretty penny, around $150 with a badly melted tub and body. I bought it because it came with a truck load of gears, two graupner diffs and some spares.
One of my 3 Kyosho Scorpions. This I won on ebay a few years ago and had to do a little modernization. I changed out the brush motor for a Tekin 17T and proper esc, FASST Futaba trans and receiver and a SAVOC high volt high speed servo. This car...
