Just getting started on this project . I have a few things coming my way for my first RC10T. I just recieved a mrlexan body and a pricey decal sheet from ebay. So far so good.
Red powder coated chassis , rpm arms, plus other parts came in today from treehugger. Thank you treehugger for all the help. Still have to find time to tear down the doner truck and do the peroxide thing. This thing is going to look sweet when finished.
Looking forward to the results! This forum since I found it has been a bad influence,I now have RC10's showing up at my door step for help! You can never have too many.
Coming along very nicely! I know blue aluminum shock bodies aren't period correct for a 10T, but it would add a nice patriotic type theme to this truck. Maybe with a blue aluminum screw set also... That would look awesome with that new body painted box art style!!
Just an observation I had. I do like the gold ones on there too!
Excellent job so far!

The project is going good so far. Finished the front end and some of the ass end (opps rear end ) I am not sure on the gear cover . I used one that I had on hand but I thinks it corrrect for the 10t. With the red chassis I am thinking of going the Cliff Lett route on the paint job. Just have to find the correct front tires and rims or insert and tires. I posted a pic of the Cliff Lett truck that I am going to use as a referance for paint hope know one gets offended that I used it but thats all I have to go buy. I find it odd that the 10t uses servo tape to mount the steering servo and all the other RC10's use hard mounts .
Hi all, a few months ago when I joined, I showed a pic of my lightly used RC10T Team truck I bought back in '96. Being I bought a brand T truck to play with, and inspired by some other projects, I decided to blow apart my truck and start a build....

That is something you need to talk to your powder coater about. My chassis had very minor scuffs and scrapes, not sure what they did, but you can't tell any of them were even there. Its something I wasn't concerned about personally--but i am glad...
Hey fellas!
After 16 years I finally got a hold of an original RC10T. From the shocks it appears to be an RC10ST with a bearing upgrade. It's got a bent chassis, broken rear A-arm mount, missing screws thoughout, bent tie-rods, and a cracked Nissan...

Finally went back and got a replica body and decals for my Curtis Husting's Ad Replica.
Came out OK, but the blue is wrong and there were a few runs. guess it's time to paint another. This one can hit the race track for a future big event...
Okay, so yet another project in the works... I have pieced this one together with parts. Still need a couple (Listed)...
I picked up the truck about a year ago and haven't done anything with it till now. But decided while I am waiting for parts and...

Its very thick. Even in the places that the original was not very thick, maybe too thick in some places... So ya it seems very stout. The Detail could be better on the window net, but everywhere else is not bad.
i got the 8.5 bl havok navk esc motor in there and the thing runs like a champ, i have it geared with a 16t pinion and 71t spur and it runs as fast as i want it to go. one thing is no matter how hard i torqe down on the clutch nut (?) it still makes...

I used some washers and tightened it down so it doesn't slip so much, thanks for the advise though. i did get a b3/t3 slipper pad and it was to big as seen in those pictures, but it turns out it didn't fit. as far as the motor/esc setup (novak havok...
Every build has a starting point and this one is no different. I got inspired when I purchased an NOS Rooster and looked at the back of the box and the instructions. From that point I was hooked and so my build begins. Hope you guys enjoy.
Hello everyone I am new to this forum and I just wanted to share my story with you all.
I got this RC10T from a guy who said he did have the time to mess with it and it was sitting in his garage under a bunch of other boxes and it took me about 15...
