RPM Black pan build
Here is a project I've been waiting to start for a while now. I've always wanted to cut a pan out for the rpm rear kit but never did. Very fun indeed. Here is what i have so far. Cut the chassis, mounted the trans, I made jg rear shock tower from a old fiberglass scorcher butterfly chassis i had laying around( I reversed/changed the pattern in the center ), added some aluminum collars and spring retainers on the shocks and thats about it for now...

Re: RPM Black pan build
Only 6 months later for this build to begin again
. I had several wheels on this this and can't decide, but thought these looked nice. I have some old nip bodys I'm trying to pick from but is hard to get the scissors near them as this will be my new runner. Still digging through some old electronics that would go with this build. I wish the 'ol sce pack would still take a charge but no go.

Nice selection on the wheels.
What are they? I'm looking for HPI truck rims similar to those.

Wheels and tires are Schumacher.

I was pretty sure on the tires, but I'm disappointed on the wheel answer. Won't find those for a truck...transamman908 wrote:Wheels and tires are Schumacher.

Looks awesome though. Look forward to seeing it dressed.

Forgive me if its a dumb question but what did you change on the rear suspension. The pan looks to be narrowed and GT? mounts for the arms.

Re: RPM Black pan build
the front and rear arms/suspension is called the rpm 'worlds' style suspension, it's very hard to find these days. the front and rear arms are longer, special rear arm mounts, and you use a truck front noseplate/bulkhead. the front end kit had a unique shock tower, but you can also use a truck one.
a dimensionally identical front arm is made by dynotech for the klein sprint cars. not sure if they make the rears.

both front and rear dynotech arms are dimensionally identical to the rpm worlds arms.
