Fusion Speed #2
i grabbed this off ebay a couple months ago (stole it in my opinion ). the front kickup was pretty beat up. the 2 outer arm mount hole on the left side were ripped out, and the right side was close to being the same way. now, i probably could've fixed it, but the repairs would've been quite noticeable. so i decided to narrow it up to use a 10t bulkhead, eliminating the damaged areas. i also shortened up some 10t nose braces tubes. one thing i know i won't do is countersink the bulkhead mounting holes. these tubs are not very strong at the arm mount holes (front and rear). countersinking the holes will weaken it more than it already is. i plan on using an rpm front bumper on it anyway........ that is already countersunk, so no reason to do it to the chassis (imo).
now the back, i still have some work to do. i need to get a new bottle of ca glue though (all of mine is dried up).

Now thats funny!! I appreciate your guys's humor! (Guy's's)???
I am looking for a gold tub, My first real RC10. Any tips? A graphite would be nice as well. Runner or roller. Runner would be better.

What made you feel the need to dig up this old thread to post a wanted ad?Diamond Dave wrote:scr8p wrote:you'll glue it to your fingers so you can't send it back.

Re: Fusion Speed #2
I read through all the posts here, and this one made me laugh.
Not a wanted ad at all, maybe asking for some advice on what would be a good start for my first RC10. Be it a buggy or a truck.
Notice the part that says "Any Tips?"
And to be honest I did not even look at the date of the thread...
Sorry if you took it as want ad, it certainly was not meant as one.

I think we talked about this when you stuck that pit to the wall but we glued a rocking drivers feet to the stand once, and inadvertently ( he got to it too fast ) a buddys lips to his bottle of cokeJay Dub wrote:"uh, I glued myself to, uh, myself" -Reggie

Re: Fusion Speed #2
i had to run to hobbytown yesterday to get some paint, so i grabbed a bottle of ca glue to fix the rear kickup. a little sanding, reshaping, drilled holes for a stealth, a quick coat of sealer and it's done.
not exactly sure the dircetion the build will go, but atleast it'll be ready when i am.

That last picture looks sooo sexy!! I love carbon fiber tubs! Can't wait to see some parts bolted to this sucker - and I love the fact that it'll be unique with the narrow front end. Well done!

Re: Fusion Speed #2
figuring out a direction for this build has become a little difficult. so, i thought...... let's have a little fun and go inter-active.
my initial thought were to use the worlds front end (obviously) with a standard team car setup in the back. then i thought about going the "old is new" route, but decided i have enough of them already. i like reggie's blue tub build, his interpretation of a car built/driven by a privateer for the worlds. so, i'm thinking of doing something along the lines of a local stock class racer that loves aftermarket hop-ups. so i'll need to stay "early 90's" with the parts that are chosen.
the biggest dilema..... to cut, or not to cut. that is the question.
thanks to a couple awesome guys on the site, i have the white rpm parts in hand (or sourced) to build the rear of this car either as a team car, or as a worlds car. being as though i have no problem cutting stuff up, what would you do?
on to tires. in stock, i have a new set of losi rubber. HT fronts and x-pattern rears.
or, i have a new set of prolines. 7025 fronts and 7060 rears.
these would be used with a new set of white tq rims.
but, i also have a new pair of pink 2.2 30 series yoke rims i could use on the rear. the adapters i have for them don't give the correct offset though. the ones i need are on my masami replica so i'd have to get a pair of those, as well as figure out tire to use since i don't have any more new 2.15/2.2 tires. so what would you do?
electronics - i was planning on using a tekin esc and receiver, but i'll be going the novak route now. the other night, i scored a nib novak 410-m1 on ebay.

keeping an eye out for ner-3fm receiver to go along with it. i'm sure i have a servo that'll work. i also have 7 new 1400 scr cells (loose) to build a pack. but i also have a couple matched 1400 packs left from my racing days (point blank, lightspeed, esp). not exactly sure about a motor, but i do have a nip b&r yoke base 27t in my stash.
so that's it for now. now it's your turn to say what you would do.
