old JRX body and other Losi stuff
Digging through my old offroad stuff what is packad away since years I found some old Losi stuff again from my JRX2 and JRX Pro days. The body is factory painted I just did cut and drill this for my JRX Pro but never run. The chassis could be either from the Proformance kit or from an early JRX Pro kit I don´t remember. I just know this chassis was much thicker than other JRX chassis bougth by clubmembers later for the same car. I know I also have a complete gearbox, shocktowers and shocks but also know some parts are missing as I tried completing some years ago. Currently I´m more into pan cars but some day I will rebuild and complete the JRX Pro.
Also found a decalsheat from the first JRX2 and a sticker from the first Losi Revolution motors and some Revolution motors.
Last pic is a dust guard what is older than the JRX cars as a certain Gil Losi Jr. did give me some of them at the 1987 offroad worlds at Romsey.

Thanks Alan, one of my very few bodies what are more than one colour.
Also found one of the first Losi t-shirts still in bag. I think got this 1988 with the JRX2.

If I am not mistaken wasn't it Jack Johnson that did most of those?Jirka wrote:Probably the best looking factory painted body that I have ever seen.

Thanks Jirka. I also like this body.
I got a message from someone who also has a factory painted JRX Pro body and his is signed by Jack Johnson indeed.
Mine isn´t signed at least I don´t see anything also I don´t have the bag anymore. But from what I remember this body wasn´t cheap.

Actually I did some research...ok I walked over to Gary Kyes desk. Gary told me that He and his son did most of the painted "factory" packaged bodies back in those days. Jack may have done a few but not very many.Charlie don't surf wrote:If I am not mistaken wasn't it Jack Johnson that did most of those?Jirka wrote:Probably the best looking factory painted body that I have ever seen.

Its great having members on here that can supply a little inside-knowledge... thanks Rich!
Loving that factory painted shell (whoever sprayed it!) Is is dark blue or black... somehow looks blue on my monitor?
Cool to have to other parts & tee shirt too... as you say, it would be great to combine them into a build one day!
P.S; 'Motown Missile' - what a cool name for a motor

Re: old JRX body and other Losi stuff
No the body is pure plain black as black can be.
Looks much better in reality than at the pictures.
The pictures were made when the light was going down in the evening and my camera don´t like indoors very much especially low light. Maybe I will make another picture when there are better conditions but currently it´s too dark when I´m coming home from work.
Yes the JRX Pro will be rebuild again one day, whenever this will be.
Yes really cool name for a motor and cool motorsticker too I think. But actually the full name is Jack Johnson´s Motown Missile and that´s even cooler.
And by the way this motor was screaming as hell at a long backstraight as it´s a 12x1 and high airgap.
Another cool looking Losi motor is the Jr´s choice 2x17 as the design is similar but can´t find this currently. Maybe just sitting in one of my cars.
