.89 & 1.18 Shocks on RC10 Graphite

Post by peetbee »

Hi, apologies but have searched on this but couldn't find an answer as the search kept ignoring the numbers!

I'm looking at using a set of B4 shocks on my Graphite and wondered whether there are more appropriate towers available?

Differences are .71 to .89 on the front and 1.32 to 1.18 on the rear.

yeah, the search feature ignore things, a better way is to use google.com, under advanced search, put in what you want in the search field, and fill in the website to search it and you will get many more hits.

to answer your questions, atlas makes a front tower that is slightly taller so you can use the .89 front shocks.

I think you can use the rears almost as-is, just juggling the spacers/limiters. I don't know which shafts the 1.18" shocks have, maybe the 1.02", if so, run then shafts with no internal spacers, and roughly .15" to .2" external limiters and that should get you really close.

if you don't want to use external limiters or you find you don't get enough droop, then you can add another set of bu;khead mounting holes to a stock tower right above the existing holes, and trim the bottom of the tower so you can lower it the appropriate amount.

Jay Dub is making the taller shock towers right here on the site. Search it out in the b/s/t area. You are the 3rd to ask that question in the last 3-4 days. I think he posted pix and prices in one of the members threads asking that question. If you don't find it drop him a pm. The parts look killer.

The search feature here is ok, but not the best- as you become more familiar with the site, using it (search) will be easier because you can be more specific like searching a specific forum or a certain authors-

It's similar to another forum I use where the most common words or very short words/numbers are ignored as it would bring back too many results.

I'll get the hang of it soon as I'm sure most of my questions have been answered many times over!
