Metal Wheels

Post by bigdavevw »

Hi, i am looking for some metal wheels for my buggy as my plastic jelly bean ones are pringled. I have seen the Lohas ones, and Technacraft, but they are pretty dear, so does anyone know a some metal wheels that will fit? I,m running the standard axles.

there are plenty of alloys out there but for the fact of alloy they are all pretty dear. Personally I have some T&A wheels I like the best but they seem to be hard to find any more and you'll pay just as much for a used set of those as you would a new set of Lohas wheels. Right now moneywise Lohas is the way to go. Just wish there weren't fitment issues with them.
Good luck

JPS were another one of the ones that used to be plentiful. I think a set of NIP directionals just went off ebay unsold here last week for like $75(?) . The only thing about aluminum wheels is take a hard hit and they are full-on-tweaked rendering them useless...expensively. Or like in my cases before...3 wheel set that looks great...and one crappy bent one  .

I thought you only got nailed with customs charges when the seller lists the value over $10, customs value means nothing for lost/stolen/missing packages anyway-

You missed the point. If you buy something for $500, and the customs form says $10 the you pay no tariff. Further more if they go missing, that customs value declaration means nothing, the UK doesn't give you that.
