Why I hate moving....
We're in preparation to sell our house and move.... and one of the main things that is required is to pack up the 'toy room' so that it looks nice and open for prospective buyers. Thus, I've spent days getting all my RC into boxes, and getting those boxes out of sight. Give me strength....
This pic is an example of what you find when you have to sort things out and pack things up....
Needless to say, I have no intention of EVER moving again.....

We might possibly be moving as well in the near future and when the time comes I'm going to rent a storage unit for a month and put all of my stuff in there.

Re: Why I hate moving....
Just moved states and it has not been the first time. Ive shifted back and forth between states over the past 20 years more times than I care to remember.
One thing's for sure, the older I get the more crap I manage to accumulate and this makes moving both hard and expensive.
Why oh why do we have to own soo much stuff?
LOL!

Re: Why I hate moving....
Try packing up an 80 acre ranch where you've lived for over 20 years and moving into a 1400 square foot house, two car garage in town. Then after that, move 800 miles to a new state in a single 24' moving van. You will have the art of dekludging and packing down to a science!Incredible_Serious wrote:We're in preparation to sell our house and move.... and one of the main things that is required is to pack up the 'toy room' so that it looks nice and open for prospective buyers. Next move I make is into a pine box.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

+1 on the moving. You start going through stuff, and realize - man I got a bunch of S*#@ and do not know where to start. My wife and I say after every move that we need to weed out the crap - which we do, but by the next move it seems some other stuff has taken its place, lol.

Re: Why I hate moving....
the problem is all that crap multiplies. Put two vases together in a dark box, and the next time you look, there are 6. Looks like the two motors you put in the box initially have been really busy
we are contemplating a move and I am NOT looking forward to it from the physical moving aspect.

Re: Why I hate moving....
Moving sucks sooooo bad. My wife and I have found another house that we want, but we want to make sure our house sells first so we dont end up with two morgages. Our realtor says we have to take everything off of the walls, pack up almost everything we have so the house looks much bigger to potiential buyers. So we've been working on that and now it feels like I'm living in a hotel. Its taken a ton of work packing, and I havent even moved yet! Luckly I havent had to touch any of my RC stuff since its all in the garage already.

Re: Why I hate moving....
i just packed up and moved a bunch of my rc10 stuff out of my hobby storage room that is now the gf's whatever room...
i ended up having around 40 built buggies and 12 built trucks. many many more in bits and pieces... i'd be poking in boxes and find really nice stuff i completely forgot about. like nib kits or projects i never got past getting the parts for...
i rented a 7x10 storage unit but have yet to move anything into it. i know for a fact once i do i'll completely forget about it or the stuff will get thieved. i have 5 or 6 lawn bags full of nip lexan buggy bodies... big moving boxes full of tires... LOTS of shoeboxes and kit boxes full of assorted parts taken off of the cheap ebay rc10s i would buy just for the steering bellcranks and whatever.
i wish all you guys were local, i'd invite you over and sell-off at least 1/2 of what i got.

Re: Why I hate moving....
I'm feeling this..... except for the rc-in-the-garage, as mine was always in the back room.... it's stashed in the garage now, though....Momo5 wrote:Moving sucks sooooo bad.
