Optima Mid - Restore

Post by j0pp3 »

Hi guys! My first build thread on rc10talk... 8)

It all started with scoring a few mid cars on Ebay and local forums etc. Then I took them apart and looked for the best parts and cleaned them up. I also ordered a reproduction body, decals and two pairs of OT-66 tires from Marwan.

The best chassis I found had countersunk holes so that will be the main mod in this build so far.

This is what I have built so far. Enjoy.

Really cool way to show how the building goes on Manual page and then the real parts. Is it possible that You take a pic of Your "photo studio", I mean something like this: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=24834 ?

Jirka

EDIT: Do You need English version of the Manual? Send me a PM if needed.

Thank you Jirka!

I can try take a photo later. The problem is that I only have a 50mm lens in a very small area. Hard to catch bigger views if you understand what I mean.

Thanks! I will continue the work today and probably post new pictures later tonight (Swedish time).

And yes, the Optima Mid was/is an awesome car! This sample will not be a runner

I'm thinking you spend way more time arranging the photo-shoots than you do building the car. Nice pics, for sure!
