X-Factory seems to think that big bores aren't necessary on 1/10 buggies. Paul Sinclair runs the V2's but with Losi BB springs. He says it's the best of both worlds. He doesn't like the added weight of the larger shocks being so high up. I'm a bit on the fence. Larger is only better to a certain point. Modern cars are getting heavier and people are "tuning" by adding weight rather than actually knowing what to do. Jumps have also gotten larger on many modern tracks so I can see the need for a big bore in some instances. I'm not sure if they are always the way to go though. I'm going to wait this one out for a bit.
Three spring cup heights (+0mm, +5mm, +9mm offset)
I still think they're meant as easy to add up stops.
.
i d say ride height instead.... to use all springs in the range without havng the car sitting at 2in high same as on b4.1

I've been using the TLR22 big bores on my Gold Pan, I really like the way it feels. I just put the gold shocks back on so I can do some back to back testing. Last time I did back to back testing, it was a very hot outdoor blue groove track. Really calmed the car down, if I could explain it better, I would.

Dangerous thing, but I got to thinking today while browsing eBay. Has anyone tried fitting current 10th scale big bore springs to older 8th scale shocks...? I know most were a 13mm inner bore but I wonder if the spring diameters would be close...
I bought a set of shocks but don't know how to put them together  I have looked for a video on you tube and looked for better instructions that cam with them but can't find anything. I just don't understand the instructions that came with...

While on the subject... Do the big bores use the same size O-rings as the V2 shocks?
I've been wanting to run big bore springs on my JRX Pro for a while due to the variety of spring rates available. I've got tons of big bore springs and this way is far cheaper than converting the car to big bore shocks. I modeled these up and am...

I've completed a model tree for the big bore spring adapters for standard bore Losi shocks. It has a set of 4 of each part. There are 4 collars, for those who have the smooth bodies. There are 4 bottoms, for all shocks. Finally, there are 4 rings....
I know someone has probably asked before but what shocks off the new associated models will fit the rc10t? Are they bolt on or do I need to make modifications?

A better option might be to run these on the front.
That's the stock 10T bottom ends... I don't think it will alleviate the issue. But then again, one has to try to see how it all nets out.
I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm feeling lazy right now Lol. Which big bores fit the 10t? Can someone post a pic of a set of any shocks on the back side of the tower?

This is nice I was looking into getting newer threaded shocks for my build but I'm thinking of going to big bores now after seeing this thread.
Hey guys, I’m setting up an RC10 to run at my local Clay track. I plan on putting some big bore shocks on it that I took off of a B5m. I’m looking for some basic set up Tips since I know several of you guys have run big bore shocks on your RC10s....

I need to test more but, I used shocks from a B5 with factory works towers. I used kit pistons with 30W oil. My suggestion is to measure your current droop setup and match that with your new setup. I liked green springs front and rear but, tune to...
Anyone who runs modern yokomo x shocks know how to get the o rings separately? I have only seen the shaft o rings and adjustment nut o rings available separately but not the top caps and bottom caps.. I have looked at the team associated big bore...

Yeah thanks mate I am gonna get the v2 upgrade for the bottom cap myself when I get some spare coin.. Thanks for sharing about the shaft o rings mate.
I just scored a set of B5 big bores on eBay. I notice on the modern cars they mount behind the front shock tower. Is this necessary on the WOIN setup with extended nose? Is there a performance gain or geometry gain from this? I have seen guys having...
