New to the forum here. I might be little young...24 but I have a soft spot for vintage RC....especially Tekin, Race Prep, Maxtec and Reedy. Where is what I acquired over the years. These are brands I grow up around but never could afford being a kid. BTW this is before my GF lol
My Favorite of all.
The orange Race prep was brand new and it went to a user on the Traxxas forum for his 4wd Wildcat shelf queen...perfection...glad the motor went to a amazing project and home.
And now After :'(. These are currently hanging on my wall in my room.
Reedy is now on the wall. Was hard finding a dyno tuned with the blue endbell.
LOL. Yes it was getting terrible. But most have been sold and I have only a few stockers on my wall and 2 that I can run. My collection was only missing a Reedy KY arm and PT motor/arm before I sold it. I look at it this way...someone got to be running them...or destroyed them
Nice collection. I love the ols School motors & I always on the look out for brushed motors. I have a real soft spot for the Kyosho Le Mans motors . I use to race them. LOL.
Lots of good stuff there. I have one of those Revenge of the Monster Pro motors in the package as well. Last time I looked at it I noticed it had some tiny rust spots on it.
The Reedy Sonic has got to be the most desirable out of that lot - for of us Associated fans at least!
I rather like the orange ended Race-Prep motor.... I have an MG 'Orange Dot' - which must use the same can & endbell - so very distinctive!
The Integy Matrix motors were the last brush stock motors I used for indoor touring car racing, I sure don't miss those days of skimming/new brushes/magnet zapping every other week just to get that little 'edge' of performance.
Now must be the time to pick up these old brushed motors - model shops must have lots of NIB motors they can't sell & would be only too happy to sell off cheap.
Thanks guys. Sadly I was force to sell most of my motors b/c of my now Ex- GF :'(. I did keep the Maxtec(it's in a vintage blue eagle transmission), the raceprep outlaw(almost mint and brand new spare armature NIB) and all my rebuild-able 27turn stocks. Trinity, orion core, Gm racing and MVP. I even have a nearly impossible to find mystery stock hanging on my wall. I mostly completed these motors for the box artwork. My favorite is the Trinity Paradox and P2k. and Harry...IDK what you're talking about...I never owned a Trinity Cobalt
i just picked up a pit bag with a ta01 chassy and parts in it
i also found a novak gt7 speed control with a strange curcit board on the motor wires with a transtor on it .. sorry no picts just seeing if you know what its for ?

Well, others already nailed it down for you, so all I can add is this:
Just because it looks like a transistor doesn't mean that's what it is. You can always google the MPN and get the tech specs/MSDS for the component. That Schottkey looks to be...

tell me about it its like a full on addiction :o ... i have two mr ,s motors .. on the hunt for more not in great condition mind labels bit scruffy but am ok with it .
Here are a couple of pics of my vintage motor collection. All of these motors were raced at one point in time. My favorites of all have the to be the Slot Machine 2 and the Parodox. They changed stock racing in there own right. First was the laydown...

Well you have really good collection I like that. I think all the old stuff is more durable instead of the new motors . Because I mostly see the burnt problem in motors. How many years you are collecting these motors?
Just picked up two NIB 240s you see on the right. That makes 3 that will end up in Shelf Queens... PXL_20230715_185133616.jpg PXL_20230715_185130676.jpg PXL_20230715_185126360.jpg

I have some for sale here at truecollegemotorplates.com
There is a nice timeline of MG motors evident here, as I became sponsored by them and they provided me with their 'hand selected' standard motors.
You can see the MG...
