Kyosho Gold Rebuild ??

Post by losiXXXman »

Tore out the seals on my golds, and don't have any rebuild packs, SO, thought I'd go check the spare parts bin (oops, I mean trash) at work. What size are those retaining rings for the seals?

Aren't the O-rings 3mm inner diameter?

He might be referring to the thin steel spring clips that you install on the bottom of the shock body, that hold everything inside. I don't know the size but could measure later on this evening.

Marc, you hit the nail on the head. An alternative to the spring clip is what I was looking for. I couldn't find any metric internal rings, but got a couple std ones that look close. The kyosho w5018 kit would do it, it's ony $6, but kyosho America's minimum postage is another $6. . I assume the associated kit wouldn't work, but IDK, maybe. What about this traxxas kit?

How many spring clips do you need? I could probably spare a couple.
