buried by the family dog (new v1 gt project)

Post by discgolfer72 »

out of all my ebay purchases most have been pretty simple little clean up , few parts to replace or provide

but man this one has to be the worst truck i have ever came across

the pics on ebay were dark and not able to zoom in but at 30$ shipped i thought what the hey
i could tell it needed shock parts and that it was dirty
but mannnnnnn this is bad lol

anyone want to chime in on how they clean their parts to like new

i stick my arcade buttons in the dishwasher but not shure if the soft nylon plastic parts would hold up well on the heat cycle

I just use dawn and plastic bristled brushes. On most parts I don't break them all the way down so its easier to hold and scrub but its necessary if there are tight spots and pockets I can't get the brush into.

Good buy for $30. Well done

Simple green and a tooth brush. No aluminum though in simple green, it will ruin it.

Aluminum parts warm water and dish detergent and toothbrush.

I use an ultrasonic parts washer from harbor freight and for the cleaner, try the dollar store brand "la's awesome". I use the heat function on the ultra sonic cleaner and it just eats the crud away

Keep awesome away from aluminum and check steel parts to make sure it isn't eating the finish.

Don't forget to search for the 20% off coupon, they almost always have one. I just save it on my phone and they just key in the promo code.
Here is one that's good till tomorrow

Yes, it was on sale at the time, plus the 20% I want to say it ended at around $45-50

I think the heat is totally worth it, seems to blast the stuff much better after heating for a while. I think it's also a bit bigger than the others

The citrus is ok but it is already watered down. I use the regular stuff that comes in the smaller refills. I use it full strength myself. I have never tried the oxy stuff, let us know how it goes

My local store said the regular yellow stuff goes really quick, they get it on Fridays and are sold out by Tuesdays. You'd think they would order more
