this is my new built bolink digger. also have the orginal box and all the paper work. i think i will be painting this buggy either green or yellow with some white highlights like the box art.

How does the gear cover attach to the motor plate?

it gets held on by the axle and the 2 screws that screw to the motor than the outer cover just slips over it, it should be double sided taped but has a nice tight fit.

Dang, mine didn't fit very well but that's how I did it as well. I figured they wanted you to drill for a screw near the axle, mine warps there.

I could imagine it'd be pretty much like:
"Snap a chassis? make a new one"
"snap a front plate? make a new one"
"break the rear pod?... get to the bomb shelter."

I don't know for sure, but that's just the funny way I was thinking about it

I had no idea that buggies like this existed!... I may have to make myself one. I am a huge fan of simplicity, and reduction of failure points.

Well, I'm guessing an offroad chassis devoid of any suspension won't be too durable, except on smooth asphalt roads. Simplicity? Sure.

got around to painting it. bout time i guess lol! it came out better than i though it would kept it simple with a factory bolink style paint job.

on the shelf. also added one more sticker to the side and added one of my extra bolink motors displayed next to it

Back then the buggies were pretty slow and the tracks didn't have many jumps so there were not many broken parts other than steering linkage.
