Daddy spent a bunch of time away from RC making my Daughter's wheel chair into Vanellope von Schweetz's race car (Wreck it Ralph movie).

warning....as I have said before, I am a hack at painting :)

Looks pretty sweet to me Joey. 8) They postponed Halloween in Evansville until tomorrow night due to severe storms. In all my 39 years here that's never happened... We'll be trekking the neighborhoods tomorrow evening. Hopefully the weather will cooperate... :?

Now that car/costume looks great!! I hope she had a great time. The front wheels threw me off, I had to look back for the real front wheels on the chair.

How did the candy collecting go? I kinda wish I was young enough to go out again. More of a savory guy than sweets though, so wings and ribs and steak and such would be a better fit.

You know, I did not think about that. That sure would make for a messy pillow case. Not that anyone would be giving those items away on Oct 31st.

Maybe I will buck the trend and do it next year, handed out in a ziploc bag or sealed container from... Thanks to Jeff!

Overall we had a very fun night. The car was a pain to manuver around up/down driveways, between parked cars, up small steps (seems like almost every house around here has steps to the front door). She had a blast just rolling around for a couple hours that night.

Mommy made her costume, bought a white pullover and tights, dyed them and finished them with either the fabric paint or correct items sewn on. She bought brown material and made the skirt as well. For the middle boy, she made the Fix it Felix hat, the oldest was just finding an orange shirt/brown overalls to make him Wreck it Ralph :)

We love our kids and take pride in making as much of the costume as we can.

If you're serious, I wouldn't recommend it, since things that are not commercially produced and sealed in a package gets tossed by parents. It's kind of like taking Tylenol that didn't have all the protective packaging, is it really worth the risk?

Sorry for the buzzkill, we now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

All those costumes look great guys, I was at work that night.

And no Halgar, I would not bother as I know that all unsealed stuff gets tossed. Hell of an idea though! Wings are the best. Well, second to Joeys parenting skills. :D
