THE H.P FREAK's RC10 'DS' build

Post by THE H.P FREAK »

HI!... Well I picked this RC 10 DS up awhile ago off ebay. The previous owner did some mods too it like installing the long front "A" arms and stock RC10 rear arms and shock tower on it. He gave me all the other RC10 DS parts for it minus the wheels/tires.

HI!... So I stripped the chassis down to bare and then glass beaded it getting it ready for gloss black powder coating.

HI!... Got the rear shock tower and the front/rear "A" Arms. These are NIP and were given to me with the car when I bought it.

HI!... Well got the car torn apart tonight. Found I need to get some proper length hinge pins. Might make some at work. Ordered a gear cover, front wheels and the MSC servo mounts. Also bought a set of original RC10 DS Mustang decals from a member here.

I think what you have is a Team Car that the original owner put most of a DS conversion kit on! DS never came with white parts!

HI!... Not sure but the previous owner gave me about 90% of the NIP DS parts with the car. Even the MSC resistor. :D Don't know what it started out as but I know what it will end up.

HI!... Well some parts came in for the RC10 DS today. I still need to get a Novak ESC and bring the chassis in for powder coating.

What kind of Novak ESC are you looking for? I have a T-4 and 2 T-1s laying around. They're used, fyi.
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

HI!... Sorry guys this project will be on hold for a bit, as all my other builds. Broke some fingers and small knuckles on my right hand on Monday at work. Hands out of commission for a while. :( Dr. says 3 months. I'm a really fast healer though when it comes to broken bones. I should be good to go in a month or so. So for now I will be gathering more parts.
