I was shocked to see that I had an email from Ty Tessmann

Post by MotoObscura »

It took me a second to realize that he had finally answered me, after a week and a half.

My question:
Would you rather fight one horse sized duck, or 100 duck sized horses?

His reply:
Hi Nicholas,
I have discussed this thoroughly with the engineer from HB, Torrance Deguzman, and I have decided that I would rather fight 100 duck sized horses.
-Ty

Ty has spoken! He's my new favorite.

I'd go with the 100 duck sized horses too.

I think I would go with one horse sized duck. I think 100 duck sized horses would swarm and destroy. Plus horses have pretty nasty teeth.

I would look at damage factor. I could inflict more damage faster too 100 duck sized horses rather than 1 horse sized duck.

That's true, but you only have two arms and two legs to kick and punch small horses with. lets say you can take out two per second. In the time it takes you to eliminate 5, 95 others are biting your flesh off.
At least you could hide from a giant duck to give you time to think of a way to beat it using whatever you may be able to find as a weapon.

A) what are you guys smokin?
B) where can I get some?
3) would the duck size horses retain their duck wings?

keep in mind that a horse sized duck is basically a dinosaur. So I would opt out of that. duck sized horses on the other hand would lose all their strength and speed (if every attribute is scaled down as well). So I think I would have a better chance going that route. Mind you neither prospect is very appealing. Plus their is one other possibility. If one horse sized duck exists it's plausible that there might be 100 of those bastards about as well. I find the whole thing very disturbing to think about.

I know that regular sized gooses and swans can get really nasty and mean and kick your butt if they want to, so I can only assume that a duck might be able to do the same thing. I can't imagine a mad duck that's as big as a horse, I don't think I'd have any way to beat something like that. At least with a hundred duck sized horses you could kick your way out of them. The teeth thing could be bad, but some solid logger boots and shin guards should protect you pretty well.

I would rather fight the horse sized duck, but rather than fight it I would befriend it by feeding it whole loaves of bread and letting it crap in my drive-way. Then we would ride off into the sky together and have wonderful adventures like Atreyu and Falkor in THE NEVER ENDING STORY.

Well I think the answer to that is obvious: Because he has inside information on the industry and his answer could reveal secret details regarding the next trend in r/c racing. That’s why it’s so important that his answer be dissected. He chose “duck sized horses” which tells me that he is holding pertinent information on the future of nitro racing. Also horses cannot fly, therefore must stay low to the ground which clearly means that the jumps are going to be getting smaller very soon. It all sounds very exciting for the future of the 2wd buggy.
