Cadillac RC10

I recently purchased a Cadillac rc10 with box. Someone started to build it,had it 80% done, then quit. It's brand new,but I have one concern. The nose plate and motor plate are lighter in color than the chassis. The chassis borderllines on a deep rich orange....did the kits come this way?
