But that's not what this thread is about..........................I live in Phoenix, and was over in San Diego attending a wedding for my girlfriends cousin. I love my new Worlds car, and even though I do drive it, I don't want to beat it up. So I've been wanting to get another one to actually drive. Reading threads on here I was also toying with the idea of doing a wide-track car. Being bored while on our "vacation", I decided to check craigslist on my phone. I actually found a nice RC10T for $50, which I figured would be perfect for a wide-track buggy build. I met up with the guy and purchased it.

While we were talking about the RC10T, the guy says that he also has "one of the gold cars". I asked if he wanted to sell it, and he said yes. He went back home to get it, and met me back at the mall parking lot. What he showed up with was an "A" stamp Edinger car, with the original box, the original manuals, a charger, and....get this.....an Airtronics XL-2P just like I used to have. It seemed like fate to me. I mean, what are the odds I'd find this by chance on vacation in another city? I asked what he wanted for it, and he said "$125", so I bought it.

Sooo, the gold one will be restored to match the box art, and the black one will be my wide track racer (likely not actually race though).
Does anyone know who made these shock caps? There's a cir-clip under the reservoir so they can be disassembled. BUT, there's no name or stamping on them anywhere. The shock bodies look like standard RC10 stuff.
