Let me start off by saying that I've never taken these aluminum parts seriously. I genuinely do not like them. Buuuuuut.....when the sets went on sale for $50 a while back I figured I'd try one. The fit isn't terrible, except the steering which comes with 4mm screws lol, and the rear arm mounts are a little wide. I used a Jconcepts bellcrank (I won't discuss my disappointment with their bearings!) and tossed the Dhawk crank. I had to do some dremeling to the rpm arms in the rear to fit the mounts. Otherwise I can't complain much. It has slop, but I've seen worse.
I have some generic cheapo orange anodized shocks coming to match, and will be using jconcepts wheels. I'm staying with the black and orange theme, to the point that I ordered black oxide washers and nuts. I have ordered the dhawk Xray wing mounts and servo mounts as well as the antenna mount. Due soon. The towers are kinwald style drilled for wing mounts. Should be pretty bling

Looks sharp! I've considered grabbing some of the Dhawk bling too just for fun but haven't pulled the trigger, too many projects already queuing up. Quick question, where did you buy the Kinwald towers from, or did you make them?

The other colors were still regular price. Gold was $49 a kit!

Rear wing mounts, servo mounts, antenna holder and battery strap done! Although I think I'll do a matching kinwald style strap.
The black hardware helps it out too. Hard to see the black washers and nuts, but they are there.

Thanks I have never been a big bling fan, but I think it's just the right amount on this one. I'm rethinking my wheel choice tho. Really tempting to pull the trigger on some cheap aluminum wheels from China. The jconcepts wheels are just a bit plain

Anyone have pics of this kit installed on their buggy. Curious how tight the tolerances are to original parts.

I wish they'd offer a set in natural, gunmetal or black that only included durability upgrade parts. Front & rear arm mounts, rear carriers, front caster blocks & steering blocks. Everything else just adds weight.
This is my RC10 I got built a few months ago before I was a member of this awesome forum. Like most of us I was into the hobby back when I bought my first RC10 in the 80's and recently got bit by the RC10 bug bigtime the beginning of this year. All...

Nice cars mate, I was wondering if all of your Tecna rim centers have the same direction as I can see that the fronts point in the opposite direction of the rear ones. I ask this cause I have the exact same set and one of the centers is pointing in...
well i got my sledge back and since the chrome is non-existant on the rims i was thinking of trying to paint them with either a faux gold (match the aluminum bits) or faux crome (match the original style) from krylon. what do yall think? despite my...

May I have a full set of nice set of chromed wheels. PM me if they can be interresting.
Finished another one for the shelves. The bling stuff is not something I'd go for on a race car, but it's kind of functional on this car.
The suspension geometry is improved and now similar to what you'd find on a Lazer. The arms also increased the...
I have adjusted this thread to be a place to post some of my oddball anno jobs.
If anyone saw my Maxxum project you have seen this color before. I wondered how it would look on a 10. I am waiting for the chassis to come back as there were some...
