Sounds like the Victor was America's answer to Lucas Industries aka "Lucas, the Prince of Darkness."
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Hey dan, yeah it was supposedly foolproof and took years of research :lol:

I broke the tamper proof seal. It was hot glue :lol:

that 56 ohm is likely for the lamp, it looks like it just goes to the one blue wire.

so....diode protection and 22ohm series current limiting.

slick marketing.

Didn't Victor also sand off all of the markings on the chips inside of the IQ chargers to keep people from replicating and repairing them?

I could never afford any high-end chargers back then, but I picked up several Victor chargers and an IQ Flex and they all still work perfectly.
