The thumb is doing better. Been exactly two weeks today. I pulled the stitches out a few days ago, they were starting to pull through my skin in a couple spots. Dealing with numbness in spots and sharp pains that shoot up my forearm if I grab something the wrong way. But externally almost better.

I wasn't really dealing with sharp materials. Just a freak accident not looking where my left hand was going while reaching up and hit a cut metal stud. I'm not really a safety conscious guy. I just go until something stops me.
