Yokomo YZ 870C Battery and Electrics Layout

Hi all

I need some inspiration to get this battery layout done, can someone give me the correct way to resolder C cells to make this work.

Also where to mount the esc? with no top plate these are a pain to fit all the electrics in especially with period correct futaba receivers which are match box size.

Rx on top or behind servo.

Wire cells through belt by spur gear, wire to esc on left front side of chassis opposite servo. Wire to motor. If you wire the positive on the left side, you can T the wire from battery between esc and motor tab.

What esc are you going to run? If small enough you can use a period Futaba mini receiver and mount both in the space opposite the servo. Do you have the thin arm with the hook on the end which mounts on the same fitting as the belt tensioner? This holds the bridging wire between the saddle packs off the belt.
