what lunsford pins set to get for my buggy

Post by JosephS »

I need some confirmation on what Lunsford hinge pin set to get.
I have an rc10 team car, the one that came just before the worlds and with original front and rear arms.
I wrote lunsford on what set to get and they stated the worlds set

but the inside rear pin in that set is 2.0
the width of the rear arms, not pins, is 2.13" inches on my caliper
outer rear is 1.19
inner front is 1.39
outer front is .99
caster block is .81

that seems to be a fit to kit
https://lunsfordracing.com/products/titanium-hinge-pin-kit-for-team-associated-rc10?_pos=1&_sid=002039635&_ss=r
2 - .124" x 0.820" Titanium Hinge Pins (King Pin)
2 - .124" x 1.010" Titanium Hinge Pins (Outer Front)
2 - .124" x 1.210" Titanium Hinge Pins (Outer Rear)
2 - .124" x 1.415" Titanium Hinge Pins (Inner Front)
2 - .124" x 2.160" Titanium Hinge Pins (Inner Rear)

and not to the worlds kit
https://lunsfordracing.com/products/titanium-hinge-pin-kit-for-team-associated-rc10-worlds?_pos=3&_sid=002039635&_ss=r
2 - .124" x 0.820" Titanium Hinge Pins (King Pin)
2 - .124" x 1.010" Titanium Hinge Pins (Outer Front)
2 - .124" x 1.210" Titanium Hinge Pins (Outer Rear)
2 - .124" x 1.415" Titanium Hinge Pins (Inner Front)
2 - .124" x 2.0" Titanium Hinge Pins (Inner Rear)
22 - 1/8" Steel E Clips
1 - Super Cool Lunsford Racing Decal Sheet

I am assuming I should get the kit the fits the actual measurements of my car, but it seems odd that I would be directly recommenced to a different kit.

AE changed the rear arms, it was a running change. You must have the early arms, so at that point I’d go for the kit that matches dimensions. The worlds will have the shorter pins.
