Mr Lex's Red Prince
Since everyone is complaining about the lack of threads regarding new projects, I was able to muster up some time to get this project just about completed, short of bending the wing wire and putting on some shocks. This project has been center stage on my work table for the past month or so. I needed to wait on some new rear arms from Tamiya USA and even with INSANE hours at work (and I am not kidding) I was able to get this thing pretty close. Prob is I have like 4 or 5 Frogs to complete on the table just next to this one. Anyway, some of the highlights:
Thorp Diff
Thorp Counter Gear
Thorp Dog Bone Kit
Parma Alloy Hubs
CRP Bearing Retainers
Litesink Heatsink
BRP Wing w/BRP Wing Buttons
Parma Chrome Frt/Rr Wheels
Proline Champion Rear
Proline Front Tires
CRP Front Control Arms (Stiffer)
Complete HT Red Prince Chassis Kit
I think it turned out pretty good. The chassis plate isn't used, buy has a few marks from handling..... I could never get my hands on a NIP chassis plate.
Thanks for looking.

Looks great! I'm in the middle of one of these projects myself. I was wondering about the rear shocks. Can the stock frog rear shocks be used or is there some other type that has to be utilized and what type of spacers are required?
If things seem under control, you are just not going fast enough.

Re: Mr Lex's Red Prince
Now that's something you don't see every day.
I know opinions on HT as hop-up are a bit mixed, but this kit seems like a good improvement over the original. Do you know of any reports of people who raced it bitd?
(Kind of wondering if HT ever had a factory team actually or sponsored certain big drivers???)
Which body do you have in mind mrlexan?

Neah, just haven't bent it just yet. Waiting for a certain body, before I do that.

Re: Mr Lex's Red Prince
I figured that. If "Mr Lexan" is waiting for a "certain body", this should be cool. I always liked how those rough rider variations fit on a Frog. (Thanks for the Yoke-RPS you sent me a few weeks back by the way. Actually notably better quality than the original!)
