I would like to figure out what parts were used to create this slipper unit. It looks like it is using a bigger slipper patch than the original mx-4, maybe double? The cornered patch looks familiar: something contemporary...anyone recognizes this?

it is an associated spur alright, and slipper pad too.

The explanation just tells how too adjust the slipper while it is not mounted; without damaging the pulley

I found out on another site the slipperdesign is of the mr-4bc option (included with the 2003 SP version I believe). so it takes normal spurs rather than the MX-4 dedicated ones.

Hi Mr. Ed, you are correct - it is the MR4-BC optional slipper unit, allegedly designed by Mick Cragg (Neil's dad) in conjunction with Yokomo Japan. I bought one for my MR4-BCs back in 2004 for about £40 UK pounds, which was quite expensive. It had a habit of coming loose with no warning (usually on the practice lap of your final!) but did protect the rear belt from snapping.
