Re: Alloy Build (test fit)

Dustyn, Whatever you use, use safety glasses, a vise and if handy a shaft collar or something so the cutting disk wont' walk off the cutting line. That could happen and ruin your shaft in a second. A Dremel is an excellent tool, but use a face shield, those small cutting disks sometimes fragmentate ...

Re: Alloy Build (test fit)

A 4 1/2" dia. or 4" x 1/16" thick metal cutting disk cuts so fast I doubt it will cause any heat damage.
Just watch your fingers, no loose hair or clothing and never buy a switched grinder, always use paddle operated ones.

Re: Alloy Build (test fit)

Wow Dustyn..... I finally got to get a look at your master piece.... I can only say wow!
That has to be the sickest RC10, super nice work! Thumbs up!
Driving that would be impossible, the sunlight reflecting out from it would just blind everyone around.

Re: Turbo Optima build - Project Barney

Hi,
Love what you have done to the Optima, congrats!
I wanted to ask, what wheels are those? I am looking into making a green anodized Javelin and can't quite find alloy green anodized wheels or with green details.
Keep up the great work!

Re: JERZIS NEW OPTIMA CARBON PROJECT NEW PICS ADDED

Wow... VERRRRRY nice!! :D Have you tried or concidered mounting one of the new Lipo small packs inside the chassis between the chain covers and between the steering servo and rear diff case? If it fits or if you find some to fit it would be a very clean build! I remember a while ago TBG made a full ...

Re: BCD roll cage conversion

I designed and made them for my RC10 runner, it is both light and strong, but yes if you run it thru a brick wall it will probabbly bend. ;) Hi there, so by your location and comments you're the producer of these? I'm not sure if mods will prefer this in a buy/sell area, but I had some questions ab...

Re: BCD roll cage conversion

I looked at them and found they would bent totally upon a front crash or even falling on the roof... Not the perfect design. Looks good, but looks very fragile. The should at least include two cross bars in the front (left and right) between the chassis and the nose tubes... The roll cage is very t...

Re: BCD roll cage conversion

This roll cage conversion looks pretty cool. [$140.00, shipped] It's drilled for 6-gear or Stealth, and it says you can request anodizing in various colors including "light gold". Associated RC10 (BCD roll cage conversion) 3.jpg Associated RC10 (BCD roll cage conversion) 4.jpg Here's the ...

Re: Optima Limiter Gear Nut

McMaster Carr has some left hand nuts

You can alway take a normal nut and deform it just a bit to make it a lock nut.

Very nice collection!!! Looks like a candy store display.

Can someone confirm whether Kyosho did or did not made brushless motors with the Le Mans lettering/sticker design?

My vote goes for the Optima, Javelin and Ultima as their first re-releases.
