Vintage AE's Re-Re
Might as well jump into the re-re forum and post mine too. It's going to be a shelf queen displayed on top of it's box.
Everything is as per the instruction manual with the exception of the rear shock limiters. I used an additional 0.75" fuel tubing along with the tiny black limiters supplied with the kit.
Here's a little teaser on what the paint will look like Never over look your wife's nail polish!!!!

Re: Vintage AE's Re-Re
I ended up doing the black body in the manual but with a metallic look. Like I said, nothing special to this build, but it will be displayed nicely on the shelf in front of the box.

Yep that's hot!
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Vintage AE's Re-Re
what are you spraying that nail polish with anyway? I've got a 12 yr old daughter and I don't like the smell of nail polish so thats gotta really stink up the area vs. the rest of what you got there She knows how to keep me outta her room...she just opens up a bottle of nail polish

I cant wait to get some of Chris's (toyranosaur) aluminum jelly beans and knock offs on it. It will send this build over the top!

Re: Vintage AE's Re-Re
More killer paint! I'm still trying to figure out how it took me more time to paint the driver than it took to build the car
Must be something to do with partially hand painting it with a mirco brush. The visor was the more gratifying part aside from the matching paint surrounding the driver. The visor is sprayed with Faschange Red and backed with Fastint... looks wicked!
Looks like I might get the hinkering to build my other one I have sitting on the shelf in the box and make it a runner.
Going to look something like the one on the back of the original manual. My only hesitation is that I don't have any numbers that will work with this
