axial and stealth transmission parts compatibility

Post by Jeep-Power »

I knew the axial bolt patter was familiar!

The trans cases even look alike-
anyone know if the axial parts will fit in the 1st gen Stealth case? I know they make all metal internals for the Axial AX trans.

Big ol' negatory on that good buddy. I have one right here, the Axial parts are all metric, and the topshaft and idler gear are completely different designs. There is also no differential in there, it's just locked. And there are no dogbone outdrives, only 5mm shafts for universal joints. Everything except the case and motor plate is still available for the old Stealth, and if you need a whole new tranny and aren't married to a Stealth, one from a Traxxas or Duratrax or something would be a much better choice.

customworks uses AE transmissions. I believe the current cars use either a gt 2.6 or a b3 2.4 trans depending on nitro or electric. They do have machined trans cases available and some of the parts they have made themselves, but all are interchangeable with the AE products.

I thought so, and think I saw the parts available on their or a resellers site. Maybe as AE stopped producing them they have the parts produced from another party now?
