it's worth what you are willing to pay for it.
unfortunately, there are rules in the forum regarding a 'how much is it worth' thread.
your best bet is to browse any sites (ebay, rctech, craiglist) for jrx2's for sale, and judge your price point accordingly. obviously compare that with other rc cars out there that are similar and figure out what you want to spend.

Yeah dude, there are.Cpt.America wrote:say what? there are rules against asking what people think vintage cars are worth
How fun do you think it is to see people who just signed up on this message board ask that same question 20 times a day? It might get a little old, right?
Besides, people can only tell you how much they would pay for it, which may be a completely different number from what it would net on any given day on eBay. You would get a lot of different answers from a lot of different people with a lot of different definitions of "new", "mint", "value", "worth", and even "vintage" and "retro" ... so really, you are better off seeing how much things are going for on eBay and deciding for yourself.

Not the "fun factor" really- and Cpt America your post about yourself and your car and the interest to restore it is exactly what brings us together here, it's how we all found this place and why we all hang around. But we have been through that question a bunch, and there is no "correct" answer for it really- it may be worth $40 to me, and $400 to you, or vise versa. But we do require members to fulfill certain things before full access is granted, and it's as much for your protection as it is ours. I hope that you poke around some more and don't take too much offense to the responses about the "what's it worth" rule because it sounds like you are exited about your car and restoring it

Re: $ for an unrun 5-link JRX2?
thanks for the contructive reply, Charlie. As if the "rollseyes" reply wasn't constructive enough... my GOAL, is to have a pair of JRX2s. I want to finish my restore and turn it into a racer, because it really is only in a "good" condition anyway... but I also want that shelf queen, and I know I wont be happy unless it is 100% mint/unrun/outof box type condition... which I will certainly need to buy as I don't have the time to really piece one together from new parts.Charlie don't surf wrote:Not the "fun factor" really- and Cpt America your post about yourself and your car and the interest to restore it is exactly what brings us together here, it's how we all found this place and why we all hang around. Yeah, Unfortunately there isn't a price guide for vintage R/C like there is with sports cards or comic books. The market for these things fluctuates wildly so there isn't a cut and dry answer. Pretty much like whats been said.

Read the rules dude , sorry I offended you , it would not be the first time i have done that to a losi guy . We , as a group , enforced a rule that everyone has to follow . Most of us on this forum have know each other a long time , and rules are what makes this forum great . Post a picture , give us something to work with .
