I think Jake anodized the wire to a nice vintage gold color.
Very nice man,

If there is a wing hooked to it...Then it is a wing wire. If there is a coat hanging from it......

Re: Old is New Yokomo 870C Finished!!!!
Stick a fork in it, I am done. I have had the parts to finish this car for months but never took the time to get it all together. Overall the car turned out really good. Made several changes to the car and I have several hours of machining and hundreds of dollars into this one.
Enjoy the pics, and yes i retained the wing wire, Reggie loves so much, LOL.

Very tasteful finish. Thumbs up.
Your belt tenszioner seems mounted in a very odd way?

That is just awesome Jake, nice work!
@ Erik: I think he's just got the belt running under the tensioner for now until he runs it to keep the belt from stretching/deforming while just sitting there... Correct me if I'm wrong Jake

Re: Old is New Yokomo 870C Finished!!!!
You are correct. The belt is pretty tight without the tensioner and probably won't be needed at all. I have it installed that way so I don't lose the tensioner. Easier to keep track of.
