Re: Double Edged and Super Blue
After initially seeing the title I had an inappropriate Smurf joke that had to do with a double headed dildo called the "Smurfinator", but I didn't want to derail it before it even got started. Too late now!Y'ernat Al wrote:That's just looks positively smurfelicious.

I really do like that blue though. It probably "pops" a lot more in real life, but I actually like the subtle shade that it has in the photos. Gives it a nice vintage feel.

The 1980's cartoon would be a little early, but close enough to period correct. That new movie, I watched with my 3.5yo last week, wasn't bad. I didn't realize Smurfette was originally evil, actually created by Gargamel to infiltrate the group.Charlie don't surf wrote:BITD smurfs, or new Smurfs?

Re: Double Edged and Super Blue
Smurfs were created in Belgium by Peyo and before being a cartoon, it was a comic. Their original name is "Schtroumpfs"! The movie looks a bit heretic and very Hollywoodian...Y'ernat Al wrote:The 1980's cartoon would be a little early, but close enough to period correct. Re: Double Edged and Super Blue
I've been trying to get some projects finished up so tonight maybe some more work on this car!
I decided that the rear tires should be the Worlds winning TR32's (in 2.1 oddly) and that the 410 MxC was too big and am going with a T-1 until I can find a M1c
Little more work tonight I hope

It's looking great as usual Reg!
So... Is this one going to be called the "Smurfinator"???
I used "two" twisted evil heads!

That looks amazing!
Slightly off topic, but do you have a part number (or another source) for those white nuts that hold the shocks on?
*huh huh huh ... he said white nuts*

Re: Double Edged and Super Blue
Associated 6295 has the plastic, standard and lock nuts in 4-40. All of the kits I have seen have the white nuts. If you get the pack of 4-40/5-40 nuts most of the stores will have the newer black nuts. I have also seen white 4-40 plastic nuts at my local hardware store. They look identical.

Re: Double Edged and Super Blue
Mini update....
Added a super tidy Novak T-1 soldered in (*gasp*) the Mr A, and added a 132h servo plus the Reedy 1400 scr's in stick pack style with Race Prep connection connectors. Sorry about the fuzzy pics, my wife and family are in Clearwater on vacation and have the good camera....all I have us my phone with a crack right across the protective lenses cover
