On a nitro car you would flip the switch and it would pulse the throttle servo variablely on how you set the pots on the back.

A. It's a CREAM DREAM!
B. When was the Magnum Senior released relative to the PCM? I remember guys around here using the Magnum Jr.(myself included) and then I remember the PCM(myself not included ), but I don't remember the Magnum Sr. much around here. I ask because it seems like something the "adults", as they were referred to back in the day( )would have been using just to one up each other. I remember the owner of the LHS was quite a genius at encouraging the prostitution of technology to all the "adults" I raced with.

I am not entirely sure but I never saw one at the off road track, only the on road guys had them. The battery box comes off (shown off in the pics) and can be carried in a pocket with a long din cable. Good for enduros. The warm up switch was also a gas on road thing. I'll have to look and see what the dates inside are.

Nice Finds, I really would like get my hand on a magnum sr. It was one of the radios that I wanted when I just started racing and could never afford. The local hobby shop people called it the Rolls Royce of radios back then.
Wow I hadn't even bothered looking it up in my old tower "bible" to see what it sold for. I guess I did ok on it after all

Just a though, If i treated the numbers like a brushless, the 25k rpm over what is likely 7.2 V puts the motor a little over 3500KV rating which is about 11 turns. I'm trying to find out if the motor is or isnt 11 turns b/c i'd really prefer reverse...
i picked up a novak t-1 esc and a novak ner-2s receiver on ebay yesterday. they're both new in package. for the two of them, it was just over $45. i don't think the price was too bad. what do ya think?

I've been assembling a collection of vintage radio gear so I can start outfitting my buggies. This set up is slated for my 6016 buggy. First is my Novak 2H high powered servo which came out in 1983.
Next is my 1X ESC which was the top of Novak’s...

I had no problems swapping my NES1A from JR to G, it's fiddly, but with a good iron, steady hand, good light and magnification not a big deal.
I found these on a treasure hunt today and I'm pretty stoked. All but the FM XXL are sealed in factory packaging. The one that is open is brand new but not sealed anymore.

Yes very poor form indeed. I guess what I meant to ask is are these rare or interesting? Im new and started a build thread then got deployed so I haven't had time to post or use the system much.
What makes them rare and interesting is that they...
as of late, there has been a bunch of the same kind of threads being started. guy digs out his old r/c from his parent's attic or basement and now he wants to get it going again with modern electronics. i know for me, i get tired of answering the...

Thank you for all the info and taking the time to explain it to me Joseph. I'm not 100% set on having him use the vintage one, but I have several, probably 6-8 rollers I got over the years when I saw a good deal. I have lots of back up parts as...
