No, I mean it is literally just a Kyosho Outrage
Seems slow around here so I figured I'd open the box up and take a peek. Damn I hated selling these bitd

Anyone ever driven one? I did....once. And a tracker. Sure a long way off from the ultima they were based on. Funny how that series worked.

That's what my daughter use to race before I got her a Slash. It was a good buggy with the exception of the turning radius. It couldn't make any of the turns on the track with out having to make it a 3 point turn. I've been thinking of reviving that car for her and trying to make it turn better.

Hmm...that's my driving style to a "T"....might be a good fit

hahahaha. Her outrage was great with the esception of the turning. If it turned better than she could have had a chance at keeping up with everyone. The only other thing that was a problem was the stock shocks are junk. I have been thinking of installing new shocks, rb5 hubs to mount modern wheels/tires, and then fix the steering. I bet it would do ok then.
That's cool. I remember being a kid with a rc10 and the neighbor bought a ultima and immediately got a graphite chassis for it cause that's what Joel Johnson would do hahaha. It was an OK car but when they started going gold shocks and stuff they were a pretty decent car (OK, the trans was so-so). Just funny how they spent all time developing (for example) long arms yet went back to short ultima arms for the outrage. I guess its just funny to me that they reverted back when they could have made it better for the same money. Another example is the shocks, they do suck! But the old black kelron shocks weren't the worst shock ever and probably held a similar price point. And they already had them. Boggles my mind lol

They probably had a bunch of left over parts sitting on shelves and decided to use them. I think some decent shocks, wheels, tires, and possibly Ultima arms would be would be great on an outrage.
Hmm. I actually search Outrage and Tracker on ebay sometimes. To me, its a cheaper way to pick up Ultima Parts. The Ultima I built up started life as a dirty, well used, ebay trash outrage.
Now look:
Just source some towers, shocks, and chassis. Race car for far less.
Nice! I wish gold shocks (hell even duratrax) werent so valuable now. I need a couple sets for a rocky and a slingshot
Good points on the parts swappage
But this one will stay in its box where it belongs

I have a saved search for "outrage" on Ebay. Just in case a good deal comes up, just because they are decent cars with some work.
I had one of the nitro ones (Rampage?) with the little OS .10 engine in it. It was somehow more fun after the suspension parts wore out and everything wobbled. Plastic drum brake was pretty useless; it didn't really stop the car, just suggested that it might slow down a little. I usually stopped it by spinning it out.
yup. Kyosho had some real winners. And this one. Lol

I acquired this car quite a while ago.
It is in very good condition.
Required very little clean up and tidying up.
Came with the original body and no scratches on it's belly.
The body quality is very poor with many bumps and imperfections. But it is...

Hello Coel,
Low to the ground, swoopy lines with some added details. Almost MantaRay'ish. I like it too.
I agree the decals leave a lot to be desired.
This particular car did beg for box art, in my opinion, due to it's pristine nature.
Only one...
I’m currently rebuilding my daughters outrage in preparation for our new vintage class.
It’ll be running a 60amp esc and a 17.5t motor and a reedy round stick style LiPo. It’s going to run the stock tires and wheels until I get some jconcepts for...
Short version: I have acquired an Outrage ST with a busted diff gear and am restoring it to functioning condition
Longer version: when my brother was in college he bought an RC boat at a garage sale, took out the radio and...

Often, on Kyoshos, the manual instructs to put a ring between the bearing holding the diff and the diff outdrives (I assume these are the ones that slide over the diff axles and attach with a set screw?). That might solve your issue.
Hello,
I'm new in this forum and found it through google while looking for some informations about spare parts for our Kyosho Outrage MK II. I bought it new a few years ago at ebay and still working on it from time to time. It's a great buggy, and...

Hello RichieRich,
That is also my opinion, that the S versions should fit. I hope the diameters for the screws etc. are identical.
Also good to know the size in inch. I was always looking for mm.
I will stay with the S Version at the rear side....
Hey Guys,
Ok first off Im not a Kyosho guy so my knowledge of the vehicles is zilch. I am looking at building up an outrage ST and was wondering what you guys know of as weak points etc for the truck. I know the shocks are being replaced already,...

Granted the ST is a truck not a buggy, but I won my NIB Outrage buggy for $59.95!
You don't see the kits come up all that often, but they either have a ridiculously high asking price or sell for little in an auction. Just not in demand. Might as...
IIRC, the Kyosho Outrage MK2 came out in 1993/1994. Would someone with an Tower Hobbies catalog check if I'm right and also was it a kit or RTR. While your in there, what was Tower's price?

Anyone? Even an issue of RCCA?
I'll have a look tonight, although I'm pretty sure the ads I saw it in are from later...
